St Mary’s Playgroup has been serving Woodbridge and the surrounding villages for the past 40 years, with daily morning and afternoon sessions in a safe, happy and secure environment. We’re a ‘not for profit’ small charity, run by a fantastic team of committee whilst dedicated and caring staff operate.

Children enjoy a wide range of activities, supervised by qualified staff that also have a vast experience of children with additional needs. We have a secure private garden. We have strong links to St Mary’s Church of England Primary School, which is located next door, and we have access to their large playing field. 

In April 2021 we opened our first sister site 10mins at rock barracks woodbridge , Sutton Heath. With the same ethos we have seen Sandlings Playgroup grow into a thrieving community driven nursery that utilises all that sutton heath has to offer with its fantastic large outdoor spaces , forest school and regular trips using the different facilities available (Park, soft play, the Heath, bus trips , football courts etc)

We offer extended opening hours between 7.45am-6pm and accept 2-11 year olds (St Marys) and 3months - 11 years (Sandlings) with a variety of different sessions options to be as flexible and accessible to parents/carers childcare needs.

We accept all government funding, 2 years 15 hours , 3/4 years universal 15 hours funding And extended 30 hours with the availability to stretch these hours over the holidays.

We are open and honest about our consumable fee which we charge at 50p per funded session. This is for all consumables used at the playgroups and includes snacks , nappies, wipes , craft materials , glue , paint etc …

Both St Marys Playgroup Woodbridge and Sandlings Playgroup have a Ofsted rating of ‘Good’.
